DO I NEED IT? The space rental agreement is for rental of space only and provides no insurance coverage; your goods are stored at your risk. While we strive to provide a storage environment that is as safe as possible our warehouse is subject to the same risks that exist in the world outside our storage. You may wish therefore to have your goods protected by insurance. WHAT IS AVAILABLE? If you have homeowner's or tenant's insurance you may find that your existing coverage will also cover your goods in storage. Insurance policies for business may also cover goods in storage. Downtown Selfstorage can provide a replacement cost insurance policy to cover your goods in our storage. The monthly premium at present is $1.25 for each $1000.00 of insurance coverage. As with all such types of storage insurance certain types of property can not be insured and certain perils are not insured. Our staff can discuss this with you when you are considering purchasing insurance.
